WELCOME TO THE CFZ BLOG NETWORK: COME AND JOIN THE FUN

Half a century ago, Belgian Zoologist Bernard Heuvelmans first codified cryptozoology in his book On the Track of Unknown Animals.

The Centre for Fortean Zoology (CFZ) are still on the track, and have been since 1992. But as if chasing unknown animals wasn't enough, we are involved in education, conservation, and good old-fashioned natural history! We already have three journals, the largest cryptozoological publishing house in the world, CFZtv, and the largest cryptozoological conference in the English-speaking world, but in January 2009 someone suggested that we started a daily online magazine! The CFZ bloggo is a collaborative effort by a coalition of members, friends, and supporters of the CFZ, and covers all the subjects with which we deal, with a smattering of music, high strangeness and surreal humour to make up the mix.

It is edited by CFZ Director Jon Downes, and subbed by the lovely Lizzy Bitakara'mire (formerly Clancy), scourge of improper syntax. The daily newsblog is edited by Corinna Downes, head administratrix of the CFZ, and the indexing is done by Lee Canty and Kathy Imbriani. There is regular news from the CFZ Mystery Cat study group, and regular fortean bird news from 'The Watcher of the Skies'. Regular bloggers include Dr Karl Shuker, Dale Drinnon, Richard Muirhead and Richard Freeman. The CFZ bloggo is updated daily, and there's nothing quite like it anywhere else. Come and join us...

I'M THE GONZO BLOG DOO-DAH MAN

It's sunday, and - as always - time,
to do Gonzo Daily in rhyme
or at least these small notifications about Gonzo singing star sensations,
and other things that I think are best,
or at least I find of interest
so now it's time to take a peek,
at what I have for you this week.

Something to stop you feeling sad,
an interview with Galahad:

An artist talented and demure,
Auburn have just come back off tour,
and so I'm proud to bring to you
my own Liz Lenten interview:
http://gonzo-multimedia.blogspot.com/2012/05/exclusive-auburn-interview.html

Here's something that was sent to me,
about Rob Ayling and a cup of tea:
http://gonzo-multimedia.blogspot.com/2012/05/everything-stops-for-tea.html
And whilst Rob Ayling visits places, here's a picture of him making faces:
http://gonzo-multimedia.blogspot.com/2012/05/its-caption-time.html

And something perfectly going to plan,
The Unthanks doing Dondestan,
why have we posted it (do be quiet)
we're all big fans of Robert Wyatt:
http://gonzo-multimedia.blogspot.com/2012/05/unthanks-perform-robert-wyatts.html

Something too cool to be put into words,
a DVD featuring The Byrds,
and Jon has finally confessed
why this lineup (he thinks) was the best:
http://gonzo-multimedia.blogspot.com/2012/05/high-flying-birds.html

And finally, we have hit upon
an interview with Jon Anderson:
http://gonzo-multimedia.blogspot.com/2012/05/link-jon-anderson-interview-creation.html

And now, I'm afraid that we must go,
but you will see me back tomorrow,
but if more rhymes are what you seek,
then you must wait another week,
cos tho the poems make a fun day
I only do this stuff on sunday.....
