YOUTUBE BLURB: A friend and I saw this bird this morning and don't know what it is .. it allowed us to walk up to it and record with an iPhone for a minute before it flew off. Maybe some kind of woodpecker I don't know but it had a long beak. I'm not a bird guy so maybe some enthusiast or bird watcher can identify to what genus this little guy belongs.
This blasted recession is really beginning to hit. Unlike some of our competitors we are not going to try and blackmail you into donating by saying that we won't continue if you don't. In November Sahar Dimus, our guide on four CFZ Sumatra expeditions, died of liver failure leaving a widow Lucy and four Children. On the 2nd November, Dezyama D. Sangma, wife of our friend and colleague Dipu Marak, our collaborator on the 2010 Indian expedition died, leaving her grieving husband and two small children.
