came back with half a dozen rescued hens

One immediately died of shock, but five

are clucking in their coop all still alive

and we hope that they will all do well

away from their batteried living hell

He is ably assisted by his lovely wife Corinna, his bulldog/boxer Prudence, his elderly mother-in-law, and a motley collection of social malcontents. Plus.. did we mention Archie and the Cats?
