On this
day in 1638 Oliver Cromwell died. Ironically Cromwell, a man whose army won a
civil war and deposed a king before becoming Britain's ruler himself, is the
reason why Britain still has kings. By the end of his 'reign' everyone was so
cheesed off with his anti-fun policies that soon after his son took over as
leader parliament invited the last king's son, Charles II, to be king
again.
