WELCOME TO THE CFZ BLOG NETWORK: COME AND JOIN THE FUN

Half a century ago, Belgian Zoologist Bernard Heuvelmans first codified cryptozoology in his book On the Track of Unknown Animals.

The Centre for Fortean Zoology (CFZ) are still on the track, and have been since 1992. But as if chasing unknown animals wasn't enough, we are involved in education, conservation, and good old-fashioned natural history! We already have three journals, the largest cryptozoological publishing house in the world, CFZtv, and the largest cryptozoological conference in the English-speaking world, but in January 2009 someone suggested that we started a daily online magazine! The CFZ bloggo is a collaborative effort by a coalition of members, friends, and supporters of the CFZ, and covers all the subjects with which we deal, with a smattering of music, high strangeness and surreal humour to make up the mix.

It is edited by CFZ Director Jon Downes, and subbed by the lovely Lizzy Bitakara'mire (formerly Clancy), scourge of improper syntax. The daily newsblog is edited by Corinna Downes, head administratrix of the CFZ, and the indexing is done by Lee Canty and Kathy Imbriani. There is regular news from the CFZ Mystery Cat study group, and regular fortean bird news from 'The Watcher of the Skies'. Regular bloggers include Dr Karl Shuker, Dale Drinnon, Richard Muirhead and Richard Freeman. The CFZ bloggo is updated daily, and there's nothing quite like it anywhere else. Come and join us...

MUIRHEAD`S MYSTERIES: "TERRORS AND GREAT SIGNS FROM HEAVEN"- A MACCLESFIELD WONDER

My friend R (who would wish to remain anonymous,, reported this to my church this morning (see note 1 for the context) as he believed God was saying, this is just the beginning....Bearing in mind the meteor (or what?) that travelled from north to south over the U.K. on the evening of Saturday March 3rd.

This is my posting on the TORRO Forum

The following account of a strange astronomical and meteorological
event comes from a totaly trustworthy friend who attends the same
church as me in Macclesfield, indeed he gave this account this morning,( see also Luke ch.21 v.11) Sunday March 4th. I will call him R as he has not given me permission to share this, although I am sure he wouldn`t mind.

R was looking up at the night sky at about 10pm on Thursday March 1st when he saw 6 planets (including Pluto which is now considered not to be a planet) and the Sun in alignment sloping upwards slightly. quite low in the sky. These were the Sun , Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Neptune, Uranus. Pluto. They were not in the usual compass part of the sky, but opposite.

Then he looked up at the heavens and at the point verticaly directly above his head at 12pm position if you picture a semi circular dome with 12pm at the very highest point of the arc, he saw a rainbow in a circle around a point on this apex. R is colour blind but his wife described the rainbow as perfectly coloured.

1. Luke 21 v 11 Jesus speaking to his disciples, " ....There will be
great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences; and
there will be terrors and great signs from heaven. " The Bible,
Revised Standard Version.

It has begun, my friends

R saw Pluto? With the naked eye? Truly a miracle.
