Noela Mackenzie, the oldest member of the CFZ (aged 87), has fallen and fractured her hip, and part of her pelvis.

In November Sahar Dimus, our guide on four CFZ Sumatra expeditions, died of liver failure leaving a widow Lucy and four Children. On the 2nd November, Dezyama D. Sangma, wife of our friend and colleague Dipu Marak, our collaborator on the 2010 Indian expedition died, leaving her grieving husband and two small children.

What a terrible thing to happen to the dear lady and what absolutely rotten luck for her to have suffered the same type of injury twice in less than a year.
When you see her next, please pass on my best wishes that she will make a fast and full recovery very soon.
