I have just found this story on the Fortean Times message board. It sounds to me very much like a Master Otter sighting. What do you think?

I would have liked more details to be certain, it could even have been an exceptionally large otter from the description.
One of the characteristics of the Master-otter is that it has upstanding pricked ears: indeed when Costello speaks of his composite water monster having those same ears, that part comes from Master-Otter sightings, particularly at Storsjon. Costello included both otterlike and sealllike reports together and he said so. The two things are not otherwise similar and that was probably not really helpful. But you also get the pricked ears on North American Water Panthers, otherwise similar, and even in some reports from the Far East around the Amur River and in Manchuria. I would call all of these reports Master-Otters.
