Today I was interested to read this article in the Guardian:
I am nothing to do with 'Stop the Cull', but I think that they are on the
side of the angels. I am very pleased to say, however, that none of the people
listed locally is someone that I know personally. How about you? If you are
against the cull, and you see that a friend of yours is on this list, please try
to gently change their mind. I stress that I am reposting this for information
ONLY, and would never use this information to intimidate or attack people on
this list, nor would I support anyone else who does.

squeaks, puts it all together from a converted potato shed in a tumbledown
cottage deep in rural Devon which he shares with various fish. He is ably
assisted by his lovely wife Corinna, his bulldog/boxer Prudence, his elderly
mother-in-law, and a motley collection of social malcontents. Plus.. did we
mention Archie and the Cats?

Well, everything, actually!
In an article for the first edition of Cryptozoology Bernard Heuvelmans wrote that cryptozoology is the study of 'unexpected animals' and following on from that perfectly reasonable assertion, it seems to us that whereas the study of out-of-place birds may not have the glamour of the hunt for bigfoot or lake monsters, it is still a perfectly valid area for the Fortean zoologist to be interested in.
