I’m an old-fashioned cove at heart and generally believe that things were much better in the past. My taste in museums is no exception. To me, a museum should be an Aladd-in’s cave of wonder and discovery – exotic specimens staring out from behind glass, queer objects of obscure purpose on display for their own intrinsic interest. The setting is as important as the collection it contains. A museum doesn’t feel like a museum unless it’s old.

MATT SALUSBURY: I've got an orgone accumulator
Jon
Saw your 'Orgone Accumulator' video from the beginning of Weird Weekend, which I missed attending in person, and the mysterious reference to "plans" for the opening of the next Weird Weekend. What happened to the planned Wicker-Man-style Morris dancing opening ceremony that you promised us way back in 2006?
Attached is a photo of what appears to be a (French language!) Orgone accumulator van, which I often see parked in Ridge Road, London N8, in Crouch End, which is near me. There's a phone number on the van - 07758572299 - so they may take bookings to do whatever service they
perform with their van at weddings, parties, bar mitzvahs, etc - or the next Weird Weekend!
You're welcome to put the photo on the blog, please credit me if you do so.
