No interns today so I am able to happily potter
about without having to deal with anytrhing much. I am still cream crackered
from the weekend, and the fact that there was a continual altercation with
Prudence as to who was SUPPOSED to be occupying my side of the bed last night,
didn't actually help. Spring seems to have slowly arrived, but despite the very
mild winter the spring bulbs are a little later than usual. The two dogs are
becoming increasingly territorial, and jump up at the window, barking, whenever
anyone walks past. This would be OK if they were both small like Archie, but
Prudence is the size and shape of a juvenile pygmy hippo, and I forsee the day
when some hapless passer by is greeted by an enormous fat dog in a shower of
broken glass like something out of a bad horror movie. It has been suggested
that if we put some sort of stained glass in the bottom two panes then the dogs
will not be able to see passers by (they never go nutzoid when the curtains are
closed) and will start behaving in a well bred and civilised manner. My request
for the stained glass pattern from the forthcoming Hawkwind DVD has been
politely (but firmly) quashed.
Talking of Hawkwind, there will be lots of
photographs and possibly even some video of last weekend's activities in next
weekend's Gonzo Weekly. However, there seems to have been somewhat of a problem
with the Facebook links to the latest issue of Gonzo Weekly, so please forgive
us, and I am posting it again. This issue features an EXCLUSIVE Corky Laing
interview, various tributes to the Norse Gods' last battle,Ragnarok, exclusive
Hawkwind Space Ritual rehearsals, the return of the mighty Six Foot Three,
Clepsydra box set details, news about Hawkwind live this weekend, a pork pie
fight, and more news, reviews, views, interviews and packets of fruit chews (OK,
no special chewy sweets, but I got carried away with things that rhymed with
OOOOS) than you can shake a stick at. And the best part is IT's ABSOLUTELY
FREE!!!

PS: If you are already a subscriber but think that
you haven't been receiving your copies please check your spam filters. For some
reason known only to the Gods of the internet, some e-mail programmes
automatically count the magazine as 'spam' probably because it comes from a mass
mailer. Either that or they are just jealous of our peerless

* The Gonzo Daily is a two way process. If you have any news or want to write for us, please contact me at jon@eclipse.co.uk. If you are an artist and want to showcase your work, or even just say hello please write to me at gonzo@cfz.org.uk. Please copy, paste and spread the word about this magazine as widely as possible. We need people to read us in order to grow, and as soon as it is viable we shall be invading more traditional magaziney areas. Join in the fun, spread the word, and maybe if we all chant loud enough we CAN stop it raining. See you tomorrow...
* The Gonzo Daily is - as the name implies - a daily online magazine (mostly) about artists connected to the Gonzo Multimedia group of companies. But it also has other stuff as and when the editor feels like it. The same team also do a weekly newsletter called - imaginatively - The Gonzo Weekly. Find out about it at this link: www.gonzo-multimedia.blogspot.com/2012/11/all-gonzo-news-wots-fit-to-print.html
* We should probably mention here, that some of our posts are links to
things we have found on the internet that we think are of interest. We are not
responsible for spelling or factual errors in other people's websites. Honest
guv!
* Jon Downes, the Editor of all these ventures (and several others) is an old hippy of 54 who - together with his orange cat (who is currently on sick leave in Staffordshire) and two very small kittens (one of whom is also orange) puts it all together from a converted potato shed in a tumbledown cottage deep in rural Devon which he shares with various fish, and sometimes a small Indian frog. He is ably assisted by his lovely wife Corinna, his bulldog/boxer Prudence, his elderly mother-in-law, and a motley collection of social malcontents. Plus.. did we mention the orange cat?
