Half a century ago, Belgian Zoologist Bernard Heuvelmans first codified cryptozoology in his book On the Track of Unknown Animals.
The Centre for Fortean Zoology (CFZ) are still on the track, and have been since 1992. But as if chasing unknown animals wasn't enough, we are involved in education, conservation, and good old-fashioned natural history! We already have three journals, the largest cryptozoological publishing house in the world, CFZtv, and the largest cryptozoological conference in the English-speaking world, but in January 2009 someone suggested that we started a daily online magazine! The CFZ bloggo is a collaborative effort by a coalition of members, friends, and supporters of the CFZ, and covers all the subjects with which we deal, with a smattering of music, high strangeness and surreal humour to make up the mix.
Unlike some of our competitors we are not going to try and blackmail you into donating by saying that we won't continue if you don't. Looks more like a makeup FX prop than a real animal to me.
Are we supposed to believe that this is a deceased Dogman/Werewolf? I to think this "animal" looks far more like some sort of prop rather than a real anomalous creature, or maybe some heavily altered taxidermic construct (the former being the more likely). More legendary Dogman than true Canid though. If this was a completely genuine animal that hadn't been altered in any way, it would have to be assigned to a entirely new taxonomic group distinct from the rest of the Canidae clade. Check out the anthropomorphic opposable thumbs and limbs, which would have to be attached to a pelvis and vertebra completely distinct from the rest of the group and would have to be classed as otherwise. Therefore Dogmen can not bipedal wolf/dogs at all. I personally think this image has hoax written all over it!
