WELCOME TO THE CFZ BLOG NETWORK: COME AND JOIN THE FUN
Half a century ago, Belgian Zoologist Bernard Heuvelmans first codified cryptozoology in his book On the Track of Unknown Animals.
The Centre for Fortean Zoology (CFZ) are still on the track, and have been since 1992. But as if chasing unknown animals wasn't enough, we are involved in education, conservation, and good old-fashioned natural history! We already have three journals, the largest cryptozoological publishing house in the world, CFZtv, and the largest cryptozoological conference in the English-speaking world, but in January 2009 someone suggested that we started a daily online magazine! The CFZ bloggo is a collaborative effort by a coalition of members, friends, and supporters of the CFZ, and covers all the subjects with which we deal, with a smattering of music, high strangeness and surreal humour to make up the mix.It is edited by CFZ Director Jon Downes, and subbed by the lovely Lizzy Bitakara'mire (formerly Clancy), scourge of improper syntax. Yes, this certainly seems to be something too large to be in this lake. One of the most interesting cryptid videos in a long time.
So the Warners go out to the Peruvian Amazon and splash out on hiring a plane just for some blurred photos of a mudbank. The CFZ crew get a ferry and come back with this!
That final sighting defies all the conventional explanations I can think of so far.Sceptics and debunkers are in for a hard time with this one!

Monopod! Buy one! Guh! No, really, get a monopod to mount on the camera. They pack small and will greatly improve future video quality.
I think there may be large lake creatures out there, but this is obviously a loon-first swimming just under water, then coming out across water, then diving again. This is hardly the most important lake monster video ever. I saw a picture over Loch Ness of a large shadow underwater in shape of pleisiosaur don't know why it isn't circulated more.
Why was no attempt maid at moving in closer to get a better look??? Why is it that just when things start showing up the camera gets pointed down in the grass ??????. As interesting as this may have been you where just to far away to be able to say it was unknown animal..it could have been anything...
I agree with Brian's first comment. It would be basic human nature to move closer upon the appearance of these 'thing'. It doesn't seem right that they would stay a 1/4 mile away and not leg it, at least to the edge of the precipice. Something's 'fishy' and it ain't in the water. PS. Fast thing looks a lot like a bird.

I agree with Brian's first comment. It would be basic human nature to move closer when attempting to photograph something like this, especially if you are a crypto guy who lives for this stuff. No attempt was made to leg it to, at least the edge of the precipice. That sounds wrong to me. Something's 'fishy' and it aint in the water.

people talking about birds flying watched the video up until the end? there's a huge, fast, shadow thing moving underwater, not above it. Another thing: He's shooting from a far distance, using zoom lens, unfortunately there isn't any references nearby but things are actually larger than they look, those ripples are much larger than any bird could make. Intriguing footage indeed.
did you people watched the video up until the end? forget the ripples, the most impressive stuff is the huge, fast, shadow thing moving underwater. btw, judging from distance, those ripples look like they were made by something larger than any bird.
