Half a century ago, Belgian Zoologist Bernard Heuvelmans first codified cryptozoology in his book On the Track of Unknown Animals.
The Centre for Fortean Zoology (CFZ) are still on the track, and have been since 1992. But as if chasing unknown animals wasn't enough, we are involved in education, conservation, and good old-fashioned natural history! We already have three journals, the largest cryptozoological publishing house in the world, CFZtv, and the largest cryptozoological conference in the English-speaking world, but in January 2009 someone suggested that we started a daily online magazine! The CFZ bloggo is a collaborative effort by a coalition of members, friends, and supporters of the CFZ, and covers all the subjects with which we deal, with a smattering of music, high strangeness and surreal humour to make up the mix.
Unlike some of our competitors we are not going to try and blackmail you into donating by saying that we won't continue if you don't. It has always struck me as odd that there are no BHM reports from Ireland. I mean, if England can boast such creatures at Cannock Chase, why can't Ireland, where there are many more desolate areas and strange wildernesses? However, now that I understand Jon has been prowling around the Ring of Kerry, I am expecting the odd report from that neck of the woods ere long.

I am reliably informed that at a time when a certain Wizard knew Jon was coming and would be on a certain mountain at a certain time with a cam-corder almost as short-sighted as Jon is, a lake monster put in an appearance in the lake below him.
Now, either this certain Wizard is on speaking terms with every strange beastie from Nessie to Morgawr by way of the Tyneside Were-Rabbit, or mayhap a certain BHM of our mutual acquaintance has had his leg ever so slightly pulled?
