"A color version of this image has been passed off as a bigfoot photo for over a decade now. It seems to have fallen off the radar lately because it took me awhile to google up an example of it.

I'm sure I read up on this image a while back, maybe the mid to late '90s, possibly from Strange Magazine or something. I think the image is from some kind of fantasy book, but I don't recall correctly but can find out. It's strange how images can float around for years and never seem to have any discernible source.
