NEWS FROM NOWHERE - Thursday

ON THIS DAY IN 1955 - Billboard magazine reported that the 45 rpm single was outselling the 'wax' 78 rpm format for the first time.

That's a bit of a technological landmark... but it's funny to think that today's computer disk drives aren't so very different to the 78 rpm records. They are both random access spinning disks.

And now the later news...

AND TO WHISTLE WHILE YOU WORK... (Music that may have some relevance to items also on this page, or may just reflect my mood on the day)

Hoaxwind perform a cover of Hawkwind's "Brainstorm" - (Dec 2011 Shepherd's Bush)

Actually, if anyone can whistle along to this, then I'll be rather surprised...
