On this day in 1872 the first Shriners temple was established in New York in the USA. Shriners, or members of the Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, are a body of Freemasons founded in the USA who adhere to the principles of fun, fellowship, Masonic fraternity, Relief and Truth. They also wear Fezzes, which are cool.
