I want to apologise to my beloved nephew David B-P (pictured here with Col Blashford-Snell and some old hippy). He came over yesterday to help, and worked tremendously hard fixing the new computer (its only parts of the old ones that don't work properly now) and all his ageing uncle did was to fall asleep.Thank you my dear boy. I very much appreciate everything you do for me. One day you will be ringmaster of this circus, and so knackered that you fall asleep in the middle of the afternoon...
I'll bet he simply stuck something like Scientific Linux onto the machine, and changed the display manager to a Windows mimic, then claimed that this was in fact a beta of Windows 8...
