I'M YER GONZO BLOG DOO-DAH MAN

Good morning campers! I have not been very well over the past few days, but now I am back with a vengeance, and a really complicated few days ahead of me. Never mind. Hopefully there will be some exciting news in a day or two.
In the meantime:
Gordon Giltrap really is an extraordinary guitarist. I have seen him live on about half a dozen occasions, and am always awestruck by his prowess. I am really pleased to be in a position where I can promote the stuff that he does, by - for example - reposting this story about his forthcoming tour with Oliver Wakeman...

Rock and Roll as always been a global phenomenon. The recent scandal over 'Pussy Riot' in Russia, and the massive wave of popular support for them from across the world shows this. I am always impressed by the geographical spread of reviews we get in - today Michael Des Barres in Israel..

Backalong (as they say in Devonshire), Rick Wakeman and Jon Anderson collaborated on an album and tour. The subsequent live album also came out on Gonzo, and is here given a rather spiffing review..

I am particularly fond of some of the releases in the critically acclaimed 'Lost Broadcasts' series of DVDs which showcase material recorded for German TV back in the day. The first one of these that I came across was the one featuring Spooky Tooth, and it was this DVD that was the subject of my first slice of writing for what was to become The Gonzo Daily...

The Gonzo Daily is a two way process. If you have any news or want to write for us, please contact me at jon@eclipse.co.uk. If you are an artist and want to showcase your work, or even just say hello please write to me at gonzo@cfz.org.uk. Please copy, paste and spread the word about this magazine as widely as possible. We need people to read us in order to grow, and as soon as it is viable we shall be invading more traditional magaziney areas. Join in the fun, spread the word, and maybe if we all chant loud enough we CAN stop it raining. See you tomorrow..
