A damsel in distress makes her gratitude known

Liz Clancy would like to say a big thank you to Graham Inglis. Though a split infinitive is no match for her razor-sharp brain, numbers really ain't her thing. Neither are HMRC's tax returns and Graham has cheerfully come to her aid two years running now. Thank you!

  1. HMRC's tax returns are nobodies thing. I have known accountants and even HRC staff, who cringe in fear of the damn incomprehensible things.
In the bad old days when I had to complete such evil documents, I made the discovery that the easiest way to deal with them was to gather all your receipts and other documents and visit the local HMRC office, dump the lot on someone's desk and state quite clearly, "Me no understand". I was normally in the office for around an hour and came out with the forms duly completed for me and everything was in order for another year.
I work on the principal that they get well paid by us (the tax payer) to do a job, so why the hell should I do their for them. I would highly recommend that every self employed person adopts this same attitude. It works.
