CAN YOU IDENTIFY THIS CATERPILLAR (AT LEAST TO GENUS)

This is another photograph from the India expedition. Max and I think that it is probably a Saturnid.

  1. I have long suspected Saturnids were invading. Inhospitable conditions on Saturn, coupled with constant raids by Neptunids, have made them migrate here. They have transformed their bodies into caterpillar shape to avoid detection. However, they can't fool me. If you see a Saturnid, blast it with your fowling piece. There will be lots of them in India because of their predeliction for curry.

As regards identifying this one, he is Xrgle Gomelk, Grand Vizier to the Emperor of Saturn (or, as he is jocosely termed, Lord of the Rings). Watch him carefully. He is a dangerous character. You should also watch out for his little brother, Pip.
