RICHARD FREEMAN: White yeti query..

Dale, could you give me some details please? I have never come across a single report of a white yeti (I have just completed a hefty list for the History Channel of all the yeti sightings that I could find, and all describe a dark-furred animal). The sasquatch and the almasty are the only ones I can recall that have occasionally been reported as sporting white fur.

On The Track Of Unknown Animals mentions a couple of reports of white Yetis of large size, but ften thought to be untrustworthy accounts. That does not matter in the case of saying that such reports EXIST: such reports do indeed exist, whether they are disputed or not.

In going through the TRADITIONAL images of the larger Tibetan Yetis (What Sanderson calls Dzu-Tehs) there are several depictions of them as white. One of the Bhutanese stamps illustrates an example, and I have posted it on my blog before here.

Once again, it does not matter how you evaluate the evidence, the Allegation is indeed genuinely part of the record.

And, BTW, you could very easily have asked me at my regular email. I could very likely have completely missed your question posted on the blog like this.

    Best Wishes, Dale D.
