LAURENCE GARDENER DIES (or does he)

HELEN SANDERSON WRITES:

Hi, Jonathan,

This just posted by a friend, and apologies for being the bearer of bad news, since I know he was a friend of yours, though perhaps because of that you already know...Message:

'It is with great sadness that I write this announcement that my wonderful friend Laurence Gardner passed away yesterday after a long illness in the early morning hours. Laurence was a brilliant man and author of such best selling books as Bloodline of the Holy Grail, Genesis of the Grail Kings, The Realm of the Ring Lords and many more extraordinary works. Etc..'

Sorry.

Helen

I hadn't seen Laurence for some years, after he took exception to a review of one his books written by a friend of mine. However, although I thought that 90% of what he wrote was bosh and doubted the legitimacy of his title, which was granted by a Belgian geezer who claimed to be the Stuart pretender to the British throne, I did indeed quite like him! However, this makes things weirder - Wikipedia refuses to post a notice of his death because someone has cast doubt upon the event. Watch this space! Even weirder still, there is no notice of this on his website.
