Mary Evans founded the `Mary Evans Picture Library` in 1964 together with her husband Hilary, a noted fortean. It was one of the most important picture libraries in the UK.Sadly Mary Evans died on the morning of 29 June. She had been suffering from Alzheimer's for the last four years, and died peacefully in her sleep. Further details of Mary's life can be found here.
