LINDSAY SELBY WRITES

Hi Jon,

Thought people might like to see this to promote some discussion. And if Loch Ness can have its elusive monster and Fulk Lake in Churubusco can have its elusive giant turtle, why can’t the Lakeside pond have its own elusive creature?

All indications are that "Oscar" at Fulk Lake was an INTRODUCED individual outsized snapping turtle. There are now actually alligator snappers in the area, introduced "In honor of the legend"

And this has carp scales on it; it could be an odd carp, but nothing really unusual or exciting. Must have been a slow news day.
