I tell you what, I am very pleasantly surprised. I was expecting that my polite little protest about the fate of the early purple orchids at Fairy Cross would be ignored, and I was preparing myself to write a stream of vitriol about it.However, yesterday I had a telephone call from a very polite Civil Servant (should that be a civil Civil Servant?) and I am meeting him at Fairy Cross on wednesday....

ReplyDeleteOrchids are beautiful, they delight and surprise. none more so, than the most I have ever seen, in the grounds and close to the hub of a rural sewage farm in Norfolk. For some reason I am the only one it seems who enjoy these. When I stop looking I fear they will disappear along with the fairies?
