THE GONZO BLOG DOO DAH MAN SURVIVES

The Gonzo Daily - Tuesday

And so, dear friends, it is all over for another year. I suppose that I really should apologize for not having sent blogs out – either for the CFZ, or Gonzo – yesterday but the brutally honest truth is:

After getting home from the Weird Weekend on Sunday night I imbibed a little brandy, said goodnight to my nearest and dearest, and went to bed. I woke up insanely early in order to say good bye to the children as they left to take Lars and his son to Bristol airport before making there own way back to Staffordshire. I then went back to bed and didn’t get up until tea time, whereupon I went into Bideford with Graham to get a takeaway curry and some beer, consumed a little of both and went back to bed.

So there were no blogs yesterday.

The Weird Weekend was very successful and everybody involved seems to have enjoyed it massively. Roll on next year… but not to fast please.

www.gonzoweekly.com

Billy Sherwood, Prog Rock History, Michael Raz, Free Festival, Roy Weard, Dogwatch, That Legendary Wooden Lion, Hawkwind, Jon Anderson, and Yes fans had better look out!

The latest issue of Gonzo Weekly (#143) is available to read at www.gonzoweekly.com, and to download at http://www.gonzoweekly.com/pdf/. It has Billy Sherwood on the front cover together with an interview with him the day after his first show as bass player of Yes inside. Jon muses about Princess Diana, Irish extremists and Weird Weekends whilst reviewing the hippest new comic. Doug reviews a book on the history of Prog Riock, John B-G talks about his memories of Free Festivals, Thom waxes all poetical like, whilst the legendary Roy Weard continues his regular column. And there is a radio show from M Destiny at Friday Night Progressive. There is also a collection of more news, reviews, views, interviews and water opossums with something to lose (OK, nothing to do with small marsupials planning to pray to St Anthony of Padyua for an intercession, but I got carried away with things that rhymed with OOOOS) than you can shake a stick at. And the best part is IT's ABSOLUTELY FREE!!!

This issue features:
