On this day in 1948 TV presenter and Fortean Jeremy Beadle was born. Although best remembered for his practical joke based TV show 'Beadles About' and for being the first mainstream presenter with a visible physical disability, Beadles main passion was, like Charles Fort, collecting strange trivia and news.
