Yesterday’s News Today

On this day in 2004 Christopher Reeve died. Reeve became most famous for his portrayal of Superman in the Superman films, but was perhaps more famous for the determination he showed in trying to regain body functions after he was paralysed from the neck down. Doctors said he would never regain any any functions but by the time of his death he was able to breathe unaided for up to 30 minutes.
