MUIRHEAD'S MYSTERIES: Chinese temple dragon?

I found this image a few weeks ago on a Chinese web site, supposedly showing a
dragon in a Tibetan (?) temple. I cannot vouch for its authenticity.

    This is actually Japapanese. Its made from snake / eel skin and carved wood. I covered it in an article for the blog once.
