If the horsemeat scandal wasn't bad enough, James Watson, of Yate near Bristol, found the rotting corpse of a bird in his Tesco salad recently. It took 24 hours to get hold of someone at Tesco so James could complain but eventually the store offered James and his wife Jasmine £200 in compensation. The 13cm (5ins) body has been found to be that of a blackcap European warbler.
