On this
day in 1997 the first known human septuplet birth where all of the babies and
the mother survived occurred. The babies are all alive today although two suffer
from cerebral palsy and one had to have a spinal operation, they have had a much
better early life than the Dionne quintuplets who were basically stolen from
their parents by the state to be a sideshow like tourist attraction.
