I'M YER GONZO BLOG DOO-DAH MAN
Having treated my latest bout of bipolar in an unconventional fashion that usually works for me, I feel much better this morning, and ready to face the world. I am expecting the authors of the British UFO encyclopaedia at about 3:00, and in the meantime I am enjoying the excellent new 'Flaming Lips' album, and getting on with bloggystuff...
It is always nice when we can give stuff away here on the blog. Those jolly nice people Iona are giving away a free album. I will be downloading my copy later on today. I am getting fond of their singular brand of Celtic music..

I really enjoyed the first of Tony Hawks' feature films, and am looking forward to watching the second. maybe I will be able to tonight after the UFO folk have gone. In the meantime, the man himself has written to me with an impressive list of testimonials for it.

In all the years that I have been following Yes, they have always seemed to be very guarded in interviews and have given very little away. Recently, however, that seems to have changed, and the latest round of interviews have been rather revealing...

I am very fond of Erik Norlander. He is a massively talented chap and a marvellous musician. I am not at all surprised that he is getting such enthusiastic reviews for his two latest releases on Gonzo Multimedia; DC/DVD packages featuring his band ' The Galactis Collective'.

Martin Stephenson is a great songwriter, but one of the things that distinguishes him is his humanity. He is a very humble and gentle chap, and wherever he goes he makes new musical friends. Me for one.

When I was a young hippy anarchist all those years ago, a lot was talked about the concept of the 'Global Village'. I always loved the idea that all the peoples of the world would be united through the mystick power of rock and roll, and although I never really thought it through it was a concept that stuck itself deep in my psyche. Now I am a middle-aged and fairly battered hippy anarchist I am particularly impressed by the way that Gonzo artists are loved and appreciated across the globe. I take a childlike delight in reposting all the foreign reviews I can find, like this one from Israel...

And that, my dear fellows (and fellowesses) is that for today. See you tomorrow, which being sunday will be done in verse..
