After all the build-up my operation didn't happen. I managed to psych myself up for it but when I got in, the doctor took one look at it, said that it was still infected, gave me some antibiotics and sent me home.Because of the waiting lists and staff holidays he couldn't offer me a repeat appointment until the third week in August, but as that is the week of the Weird Weekend, I have opted to wait until the month after - it might as well be draining till September.
