On this day in 1999 the actor Oliver Reed died. Although sadly mostly known for appearing on chat shows in a squiffy state, he was also a very good actor when he wanted to be and starred in a number of films with Fortean themes like The Adventures of Baron Munchausen and The Curse of the Werewolf.
