Lindsay Selby presented us with a magnificent `giggling Nessie` soft toy, which I knew that I had to get out of the house before one of my darling stepdaughters found it and made my life a misery by making it giggle continuously.
So we devised a Loch Ness Monster drawing competition which was won by Jay Bennett (top pic). Highly recommended is the one by Kieron Snape (middle) and the one at the bottom was by Oll who was only disqualified for being approximately 20 years outside the qualifying age group...
These are wonderful. well done!Did you not give Oll a Nessie pencil......shame on you, poor Oll. :-)
ReplyDeletePS daughter drove the cats mad with that giggling monster, it was a relief to get it in the post. I should never have let her help make up the parcel!
Outside the age limit or no, I'd still have to say Oll's version takes the prize. Except that the eel probably needs a tie to go with the top hat. Is the hat a Welsh thing?Hmmm?
ReplyDeletehow Jon and Rich knew it was me I'll never know. I signed it Charles Hawtrey to throw them off the scent and everything.
ReplyDeleteHow times have changed! Did anyone else notice that none of the children drew a Plesiosaur which was the most popular idea of what the Loch Ness monster looked like when I was a lad. Without exception they all drew serpents. So will life imitate art and will more people start seeing serpents in the Loch?
ReplyDeleteP.S
Oll should have won a prize.
