This film has supposedly been knocking around for a couple of years now, and I am surprised that I haven't come across it before. Logic tells me that it is probably CGI but even so, it is very well done. Comments anyone?
CGI fake. Notice how the vehicles on the road are showing motion blur from the long exposure times that the camera is having to use to cope with the low illuminance?
The "monster" doesn't show nearly as much motion blur as the cars do, and doesn't jump like such a big animal should do; it just pops over the central reservation with minimal effort. Finally, the car that the thing crosses in front of has a really good view of it (nice CGI shadow effect there, very nice work) and doesn't react at all; I'd expect panic-braking and a swerve at least, but there is absolutely no reaction.
I saw this on youtube before. Its one of a number of cgi fakes. Another has the creature eating from a bin.

I always assumed this was a dog.
