NAME THESE INSECTS

These three pictures were posted to one of the entomology groups on Usenet this morning by people who didn't know what they are. I have a pretty good idea what the top one is but don't know about the other two (which seem to be the same species). Anyone out there have any bright ideas?

  1. I believe it is a "wheel bug nymph" and more can be found at http://bugguide.net/node/view/189116/bgimage

    Hi Jon,

I'm pretty certain that the one on top is a female dobsonfly.

  3. Dobsonflies are peculiar New World insects with aquatic larvae, and wheel bugs are synonymous with assasin bugs (according to Maxy)
