We are back, safe and relatively sound. Apart from some superficial cuts and bruises we are OK, but if we hadn't been driving a Jaguar we would both be dead! It was the worst crash I have ever been in, and I think that the emotional effects for both of us will be with us for some time.
The car is a complete mangled wreck, but you can buy a new car. You can't get a new wife, and thank God Corinna was OK...
The emotional effects are HORRIBLE! A few years back some woman ran a red light and totally destroyed my entire front end. I was pretty much unhurt except for some neck problems that I still have, but the emotional trauma every time I had to drive somewhere after that was unbelievable. For almost an entire year I was scared to death every time I had to drive that someone would run into me.
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, I am happy that you and Corrina were physically fine and I hope your emotional trauma is easier than mine was.
Thank you my dear. Corinna is still asleep, and I have no intention of waking her, because she has been in such a state for the last few days that a few hours extra sleep will - I think - do her the world of good.
ReplyDeleteI still feel pretty ropey, but I will survive. I am taking the other car out this afternoon and making myself drive!
