CRYPTOLINK: Impressive New Bigfoot Photo From Manitoba Canada

A word about cryptolinks: we are not responsible for the content of cryptolinks, which are merely links to outside articles that we think are interesting (sometimes for the wrong reasons), usually posted up without any comment whatsoever from me.

Not much is know about this photograph, but the Bigfoot community already has some enhancements leading some to believe that there are actually two Bigfoots in this photograph. Kris F. claims this photograph came from a "friend's buddy snapped" in Manitoba, Canada. Though this was originally posted in the BFRO Facebook group, no detail about the encounter was given. Suzy Matiash of the Facebook group, Bigfoot Community, is currently digging deep, trying get the complete back story to this. Here are some enhancements by April P. who wrote...

Lady Eleanor Glanville.

Ages ago I wrote a post about the sad story of Lady Eleanor Glanville:

Quincemothman commented the other day:

Yes, I can understand how this fascinating woman must have felt at times. I have photographed the Glanville Fritillary, its underside is quite spectacular. I've composed a piece of music named after her ( Lady Eleanor Glanville ) on chord zither, you can hear it on YouTube, quincemothman.

So here it is...

TODAY'S BIG CAT ROUND UP

The hunt for British Big Cats attracts far more newspaper-column inches than any other cryptozoological subject.

There are so many of them now that we feel that they should be archived by us in some way, so we are publishing a regular round-up of the stories as they come in.

The worldwide mystery cat phenomenon (or group of phenomena, if we are to be more accurate) is not JUST about cryptozoology. At its most basic level it is about the relationship between our species and various species of larger cat. That is why sometimes you will read stories here which appear to have nothing to do with cryptozoology but have everything to do with human/big cat interaction. As committed Forteans, we believe that until we understand the nature of these interactions, we have no hope of understanding the truth that we are seeking.

  • TERATOLOGY: Gecko born with two heads, six legs a ‘lucky’ find

Men in Thailand considered lucky to make discovery; many Thais believe deformed animals are supernatural, could lead to winning lottery numbers

A tiny baby gecko born with two heads and six legs was considered a lucky find for three men living in Patong, Thailand, since many Thais regard deformed animals as supernatural entities that might provide clues for winning lottery numbers, according to The Phuket News in Thailand, where superstition and supernatural beliefs are part of its culture.
“When my brother found it … one of its heads was still covered with eggshell,” one of the men, Ratchapol Pangsri, told The Phuket News. “It’s very small—about the length of a baby’s finger—and it was very weak.”
But since the men began feeding it ants and little bugs, “it looks much healthier now,” Pangsri said.
GeoBeats has the fascinating story about the find:

A gecko expert told The Phuket News that the discovery was “very unusual,” and that house geckos typically live about a year. “But I’m not sure about this one because it’s deformed,” Dr. Sansareeya Wangkulangkul told the paper.

FORTEAN BIRD NEWS FROM THE WATCHER OF THE SKIES

In an article for the first edition of Cryptozoology Bernard Heuvelmans wrote that cryptozoology is the study of 'unexpected animals' and following on from that perfectly reasonable assertion, it seems to us that whereas the study of out-of-place birds may not have the glamour of the hunt for bigfoot or lake monsters, it is still a perfectly valid area for the Fortean zoologist to be interested in.

So after about six months of regular postings on the main bloggo Corinna took the plunge and started a 'Watcher of the Skies' blog of her own as part of the CFZ Bloggo Network.

THE GONZO BLOG DOO-DAH MAN IS STILL UNDER SEIGE

    The Gonzo Daily - Sunday

I'm pretending today is the first of the year
'cos it really hasn't been that great up to here
with flooding, power cuts and no internet
it was the sort of week that I'd rather forget

with health issues, family stuff and people online
taking every excuse just to bicker or whine
or sniping from the sidelines trying to be funny
or just being selfish and owing me money

I can truly say I've not enjoyed this last week
its not been good for this particular freak
Though before I would like to say
that we really enjoyed having Maxy to stay

and visits from Mike Davis are always a joy
so there was stuff this past week that didn't annoy
Today's the Feast of Epiphany, today a new start
I'm finally online, I've got strength in my heart

So although the last few days were stressful at times,
I'm launching this week with some fresh Gonzo rhymes
and though my poor garden's sodden like the dankest of bogs
there is really good stuff on today's Gonzo blogs

So starting with today's new Track of the Day
Joey Molland sings George's 'Isn't it a Pity?'
His new album is great, and I really must say
you must see him play live if he comes to your city
    http://gonzo-multimedia.blogspot.com/2014/01/the-gonzo-track-of-day-joey-molland.html

Now Thom the World Poet's a geezer I know
whose poetic muse still continues to flow
and the stuff that he writes continues to inspire
and lift my sometimes flagging spirits still higher

And next a good look at a classic rock song
sung by Jefferson Airplane once (if we've not got it wrong)
I like exercises in rock archaeology
especially when the music means something to me
    http://gonzo-multimedia.blogspot.com/2014/01/carls-rock-songbook-88-jefferson.html

The next is a post that's about two weeks late
its a history of the most popular song by Greg Lake
but I found it interesting so with no more to do
I'm posting it up here as a present for you
    http://gonzo-multimedia.blogspot.com/2014/01/what-christmas-really-meant-to-me-greg.html

Phil Everly's died, and his wonderful voice
is now only heard on the tune of your choice
so remember his great songs and try not to grieve
for sooner or later we all have to grieve
    http://gonzo-multimedia.blogspot.com/2014/01/those-we-have-lost-phil-everly-1939-2014.html

And finally Al from our own Atkins-May
has got a side project I found out today
a heavy metal opera, could there be such a thing?
There is and they've tempted Al Atkins to sing

    *  The Gonzo Daily is a two-way process. If you have any news or want to write for us, please contact me at  jon@eclipse.co.uk. If you are an artist and want to showcase your work or even just say hello, please write to me at gonzo@cfz.org.uk. Please copy, paste and spread the word about this magazine as widely as possible. We need people to read us in order to grow, and as soon as it is viable we shall be invading more traditional magaziney areas. Join in the fun, spread the word, and maybe if we all chant loud enough we CAN stop it raining. See you tomorrow....

    *  The Gonzo Daily is - as the name implies - a daily online magazine (mostly) about artists connected to the Gonzo Multimedia group of companies. But it also has other stuff as and when the editor feels like it. The same team also do a weekly newsletter called - imaginatively - The Gonzo Weekly. Find out about it at this link: http://gonzo-multimedia.blogspot.com/2012/11/all-gonzo-news-wots-fit-to-print.html

    * We should probably mention here that some of our posts are links to things we have found on the internet that we think are of interest. We are not responsible for spelling or factual errors in other people's websites. Honest guv!

    *  Jon Downes, the editor of all these ventures (and several others), is an old hippy of 54 who - together with his orange cat (who is currently on sick leave in Staffordshire) and two very small kittens (one of whom is also orange) - puts it all together from a converted potato shed in a tumbledown cottage deep in rural Devon, which he shares with various fish. He is ably assisted by his lovely wife Corinna, his bulldog/boxer Prudence, his elderly mother-in-law and a motley collection of social malcontents. Plus... did we mention the orange cat?

WALLY THE COMEDY RHINOCEROS: Yesterday's News Today

Oll is away so for today Yesterday's News Today is done by Wally the Comedy Rhinoceros. He is a stand-up comedian of some renown. Here is one of his rhino-related jokes.

Q: What does a rhino do when it is broke?

    A: He looks for glue.

Ha Ha! That was funny. Sidesplitting. Yes. Ha!
