Could be a stoat/ermine? That or a runaway ferret. Definitely Mustelidae like you said though.

Looks like a European polecat to me.

It looks like a Ferret or Ferret/Polecat cross to me.
this looks very very much like a young Stoat Mustela erminea, the black tip of the tail is the dead give away.
Why not a Weasle well my granfather told me.

It does however look like a young stoat looking for somewhere to stake its claim and set up territory.

Looks like a polecat to me, insofar as you can make it out on cctv.
I used to live on anglesey and I was told they were quite common there thought the only ones I saw were roadkill.
