He's ...I believe he is a Woodhouse's toad.<br /><br />He's too big to be a Texas toad, and he's in a part of Texas where there are no American toad and probably now Fowler's toads.<br /><br />Where I live, we have both Fowler's and Americans, which are very hard to tell apart. They also hybridize.<br /><br />However, virtually all of the toads I see on a daily basis are American toads. In September, I see lots of them looking for places to hibernate.
