The Gonzo Daily - Friday
Yesterday I wrote that "Life in Britain is getting more and more
Kafkaesque". And what has happened since sort of proves my point. Some peculiar
security thingy on Facebook stopped me posting things for most of the day, and
today I received a bill for £900 from Exeter City Council who have completely
ignored the facts in my dispute with them. So on Monday I shall be writing back
to them and copying the letter to both the Chairman of the Council and the MP
for Exeter. It may not work, but I'm damned if I am going down without a fight.
The same goes to the egregious little oaf who is currently taking me to court. I
can be a nasty bastard when cornered.

* Jon Downes, the Editor of all these ventures (and several others) is an
old hippy of 56 who - together with an infantile orange cat named after a song
by Frank Zappa, and a small kitten totally coincidentally named after one of the
Manson Family, purely because she squeaks, puts it all together from a converted
potato shed in a tumbledown cottage deep in rural Devon which he shares with
various fish, and sometimes a young lady called Jessica. He is ably assisted by
his lovely wife Corinna, his bulldog/boxer Prudence, his elderly mother-in-law,
and a motley collection of social malcontents. Plus.. did we mention the
infantile orange cat, and the adventurous kitten?
