Last night I had problems with Acrobat. No I don't
mean girls in spangly tights, but the programme made by those jolly nice folks
at Adobe. I was up until gone 2:30 when I finally gave up and went to bed, and
as a result I overslept this morning, which as Jess and Danny were here at 12:00
raring to go, was a considerable issue. Bizarrely, I went legit a couple of
years ago. After using a pirated version of Acrobat 6 which never caused me any
problems for the best part of a decade, I bought a legitimate copy of Acrobat 9
which has been a pain in the arse ever since. I know that there are all sorts of
cheaper and apparently user-friendly alternatives, but I have never yet found
one that can input the custom settings that I need. Ideas please?

the titular submarine dwellers are back with another episode of Sub Reality
Sandwich. There is also a collection of more news, reviews, views, interviews
and animals coming in two by twos (OK, nothing to do with Noah's Ark, but I got
carried away with things that rhymed with OOOOS) than you can shake a stick at.

* Jon Downes, the Editor of all these ventures (and several others) is an
old hippy of 55 who - together with an infantile orange cat named after a song
by Frank Zappa puts it all together from a converted potato shed in a tumbledown
cottage deep in rural Devon which he shares with various fish, and sometimes a
small Indian frog. He is ably assisted by his lovely wife Corinna, his
bulldog/boxer Prudence, his elderly mother-in-law, and a motley collection of
social malcontents. Plus.. did we mention the infantile orange cat?
