New on the Frontiers of Zoology:
Today is an absolutely glorious one, and
the fact that it is a Bank Holiday so the telephone is unlikely to ring, and
nobody is likely to try and sell me anything, makes it even better. Corinna and
I have been involved in another little bit of animal rescue, and we have
fostered a little dog who has been named Archimedes the Archimandrite of Joppa
(read 'The United Idolaters' by Rudyard Kipling if you are interested enough to
want an explanation) or 'Archie' for short. I have been wanting a companion for
Prudence for some time, and hopefully the addition of a younger and more
sprightly hound will encourage her to be a little more active. But I am not
holding my breath. They both slept in/on the bed last night, and there was
hardly any room for us humans!
