Life is not particularly easy at the moment, but I hope that next week will bring some light to the end of the tunnel. In the meantime my fervent apologies to everyone who has been ignored in the computer problems of the last few days. There are all sorts of groovy things in the pipeline, however, and all will be made clear in the fullness of time...
We start off today with another visit to Thom the World Poet
My generation, which basically means anybody born between 1940 and 1970, have a completely different relationship to music than have the people who came before us, or indeed, the generations who came afterwards. For us, music was a call to social and intellectual revolution and pushed an entirely different set of buttons than it did to other generations.I cannot help but wonder why.
Has anyone heard of this? I was pootling about on Spotify this morning when I saw an Eric Burdon album with a release date of 2012. So I checked it out. And I found....nothing at all.
Martin Stephenson and the Daintees are back in Darwen
A great review of the Move DVD in our acclaimed 'Lost Broadcasts' series.
A great new Hawkwind Digital Magazine
The Gonzo Daily is a two way process. If you have any news or want to write for us, please contact me at
jon@eclipse.co.uk. If you are an artist and want to showcase your work, or even just say hello please write to me at
gonzo@cfz.org.uk. Please copy, paste and spread the word about this magazine as widely as possible. We need people to read us in order to grow, and as soon as it is viable we shall be invading more traditional magaziney areas. Join in the fun, spread the word, and maybe if we all chant loud enough we CAN stop it raining. See you tomorrow...
The Gonzo Daily is - as the name implies - a daily online magazine (mostly) about artists connected to the Gonzo Multimedia group of companies. But it also has other stuff as and when the editor feels like it. The Editor is an old hippy of 53 who - together with his orange cat - puts it all together from a converted potato shed in a tumbledown cottage deep in rural Devon. He is ably assisted by his lovely wife Corinna, his bulldog/boxer Prudence, and a motley collection of social malcontents. Plus.. did we mention the orange cat?
