OLL LEWIS: Yesterday's News Today

On this day in 1940 Chuck Norris was born. It is rumoured that Norris’ tears can cure any disease known to man, it’s a shame that he has NEVER cried. Chuck Norris is also the only known substance that can escape a black hole.

And now, the news:

Phantom kangaroos spotted in Japan
Who's an ugly little Rascal then?
Coconut squirrels go to infinity, and beyond
Duck invasion damages football pitch
Squirrel pie a new pub favourite
Seal meat to be on menu at Canadian Parliament
'Old Baldy' horse head going back up in Philly
The creature in Canada's lake
Owner of Pirates of Caribbean parrot jailed

She’ll be doing bird then…

HEY HEY MAMA ITS THE WAY YOU GROOVE

Hi Jon,

J
ust letting you know Chris Reeve's and my book on the history and folklore of the Black Dog of Bungaty is now out and available via hidden publishing.

http://hiddenpublishing.com/about/shock-the-black-dog-of-bungay/

Anyway we're very happy with how it's turned out and are having a book launch in Bungay at St Mary's on the 27th of March at noon. That will be run and supported by the Bungay Historical society and the friends of St Mary's etc and all that.

Anyway thought I'd pass it on and of course doing the whole get the word out everywhere I can about it.

I've organized for a copy to be sent to you for review from the publishers so that should hopefully arrive in a week or so.

best
David

LINDSAY SELBY: The Windermere Monster

Linden Adams has kindly sent the links below to more video and stills of the film taken of the bownessie monster on my cryptozoo-oscity blog. I thought CFZ people might also like to see it and perhaps discuss it.

You may find this of interest to your web site and blogs

Stills of most of the images taken by myself can be found here:

OLL LEWIS: Yesterday's News Today

On this day in 1997 the comet Hale-Bopp was seen during the day in parts of China, Mongolia and Siberia thanks to an eclipse.

And now, the news:

The creature in Canada's lake

Lake creature "Bownessie" of Windermere

Portland man creates memorial to heroic pigeons

A joke about pigeons, hmm:

Q: What’s the difference between a pigeon and an investment banker?

A: Pigeons can still make deposits on BMWs.

(sadly the banks have spoiled that perfectly good joke by still paying large bonuses, but it’s a good one nonetheless)
